About

Evelyn Zachary-Mutebi

Evelyn Mutebi, MA

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” (3 John 1:2)“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” (Proverbs 4:23)

These timeless truths form the heartbeat of my work. When the soul prospers, the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—thrives. Guarding the heart is not about building walls but about creating wise boundaries, filtering what we allow in, processing what has wounded us, and anchoring our identity in truth. I weave these ancient biblical principles with modern, evidence-based therapy to help clients experience the abundant life Jesus promised (John 10:10)—not a life without struggle, but one where emptiness, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational pain lose their power to define us. I am a Mental Health Therapist & Coach Certified in Attachment Trauma, Cognitive Transformation, Mental Health Coaching, and Prepare-Enrich.

I’m a Christian. My faith shapes the way that I work. I seek to treat every person as worthy of their God-given value and dignity. Most of my clients share that faith; some don’t, and that’s ok.

My approach is whole-person and integrative. I honor the mind-body-spirit connection by blending clinical tools such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for thought restructuring, Emotion-Focused and Narrative therapies for processing deep wounds, Psychodynamic insights for understanding relational patterns, and practical nervous system regulation strategies that complement spiritual practices like prayer and meditation. Whether you prefer faith-integrated sessions or a fully secular space, I meet you exactly where you are—with sensitivity to church hurt or spiritual abuse—and tailor our work to your unique values, goals, and pace.

I have a special passion for those healing from childhood, adolescent, and adult trauma, particularly parental wounds, attachment injuries, family-of-origin patterns, blended family dynamics, and the ripple effects of anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational pain. This role grew naturally from my early years as a teacher working with children, where I witnessed how early experiences shape a lifetime. Today I primarily serve adults and couples, helping them move from survival and reactivity toward secure attachment—to God, to others, and to their truest selves.

Together, we can explore the origins of patterns of thinking, practical strategies for managing everyday challenges, emotional regulation tools, and other approaches that support your healing and growth. I also provide therapy from a person-centered lens.

  • I came to Wellspring of Life to work through family drama and learned so much about family dynamics, systems, and the roles we play. It changed my whole perspective and provided insight and even a little grace towards my family. It also highlighted the roles I played and gave me permission to step back from a role that had been toxic, establish boundaries, and live in a new way.
